The Regulations define in particular:

1. rights and obligations of the Warsaw University of Technology, employees, students and doctoral students of the Warsaw University of Technology in the field of protection and use of copyright and related rights as well as industrial property rights; 
2. principles of remunerating authors; 
3. principles and procedures for commercialization; 
4. rules of using university property used for commercialization and provision of scientific and research services; 
5. the rules of distribution of funds obtained from commercialization between the creator who is an employee of the Warsaw University of Technology and the Warsaw University of Technology;
6. the rules and procedure for providing the Warsaw University of Technology by its employee, student or doctoral student with information about the results of scientific research or development work and the know-how related to these results, information about the funds obtained from commercialization by the employee, and the rules and procedure for the employee to transfer the parts of the Warsaw University of Technology funds obtained from commercialization; 
7. the rules and procedure for providing the employee by the Warsaw University of Technology with information on the decisions referred to in art. 86e paragraph. 1 and 2 of the Act, as well as the rules and procedure for the transfer by the Warsaw University of Technology of the employee's part of the funds obtained from commercialization.
